Dawn was finished with her shift, bag in hand, she overheard the PA ask a nurse to get something for a patient and the nurse said she had to triage four patients first. Dawn stepped up and said she would take care of it for the patient even though she was ready to go home. Dawn has repeatedly proven herself to be a valuable asset to the Emergency Department team!

Dawn assisted her co-worker starting an IV on a very sick child. She not only comforted the child but made sure the parents understood what was happening and that they were also taken care of.
