While working in triage with every room in the Emergency Department full, Dawn rapidly assessed and initiated the chest pain protocol on a patient with chest pain and difficulty breathing. The initial EKG did not interpret ST Elevation, however, Dawn recognized the rhythm. Dawn made the physician aware immediately. A STEMI call down was begun. The immediate response initiated by Dawn was life-saving for the patient who did briefly arrest during transport to Bronson Methodist.
