My father and I would really like to take the time to thank his nurse, Dawn. Her help and bedside manner were excellent. My father was scheduled for a thyroid procedure but during his prep, it was discovered that his heart rate was too low. He was scheduled to have emergency heart surgery and he received a pacemaker. Once stable, he was able to complete the original procedure.
I live in the Dallas area and when I received the call from the hospital; I panicked. Last year, my 27-year-old brother passed away unexpectedly from heart failure. Dawn was so nice and caring; she calmed me down and made sure I was able to speak with my father before and in between procedures. I wish I could thank her personally. My dad and I are so grateful. We are blessed to still have him here. Please let her know how much her kindness meant to us. The world needs more people like her. Thank you so much.
