I am a first-time mom and delivered my baby at Beverly Hospital. Due to a prolonged rupture of membranes, I developed chorioamnionitis, and when my baby was born, he was not breathing. Dawn cared for me during two consecutive shifts, and she went above and beyond in every way. She took the time to clearly explain everything to both me and my husband, which made us feel informed, included in our care, and reassured during such a difficult time. Her knowledge, skill, and calm presence helped me through a very long labor.

At the beginning of her shift, Dawn immediately recognized red flags that indicated potential trouble for my baby and me. She refused to leave my side and stayed vigilant throughout. When my baby arrived not breathing, Dawn acted quickly and decisively, helping deliver him and ensuring he received the immediate care he needed. Thanks to her quick thinking and expertise, he made a rapid recovery and, after a short stay in the SCN, we are now home together as a family. My husband and I truly feel that we have Dawn to thank for this outcome. We could not be more grateful for the exceptional care, compassion, and dedication she gave to us during some of the most critical moments of our lives. It is clear that Dawn is passionate about what she does.
