My 91-year-old mother was recently at Franciscan for 10 days. She hated hospitals so we took turns staying with her for 10 hours a day. This left her alone at night.
All of the staff; nurses, aides, even cleaning staff were wonderful.
I want to especially thank a nurse who spent 3 nights in my mom's room doing her paperwork and reassuring Mom, even holding her hand when she got too upset.
Such human kindness is so touching. It helped make Mom's last days a little easier.
