Dawn looked after my Nan today when she was admitted to the Frailty SEDC. She was extremely compassionate, competent, and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond not only to support my Nan but also the other patients in the unit. I was overwhelmed by her compassion and support for her patients. You could tell it was more than a job to her and that she was there because she genuinely wanted to care for her patients and not just because she had to be! She even wetted down and combed an elderly gentleman's hair when he became agitated and upset that he didn’t look himself! I thought this was extremely caring and was above and beyond her duties as a nurse. When your loved one is admitted to the hospital, it’s a nervous and emotional time. She made us all feel at ease and kept a smile on her face throughout. I also work shift work and completely understand and sympathize with how difficult it is, especially in the current climate. Therefore, I am extremely grateful for the level of care she provides and the support she gave today, which made things a lot easier for my family and my Nan alike.
