Dawn Thompson, RN

I woke up at 2 a.m. I was wide awake and feeling very down; I had been in the hospital for over a month. I needed a haircut, a shave, a hair wash, and a bath. My self-esteem was really down. Dawn and another nurse asked me what was wrong and how they could help. I told them how down I was. Dawn went and got me an electric razor, and I began to shave. Dawn took over; she shaved me, cut my hair, then washed it. She made me laugh because she didn't know how to cut hair, and I told her it didn't matter to me; it couldn't look any worse than it did before she started. This was at 330am. Dawn did a marvelous job; what a real trooper. She took over; we all laughed and had fun. I felt great and got myself into a better mood.
