I came into the ER with severe pain from a kidney infection. They admitted me to 5 Tower and Dawn got me settled. She was so friendly and personable even though I wasn't so cheerful at the time. We got to know each other over my 5-day stay, sharing laughs and stories. She always tended to me as fast as possible and made sure I was comfortable and smiling before she left my room. She went out of her way to research an OTC medication I had taken previously and found out I was allergic to it. She explained all of my meds and treatment to me in ways I could understand. She was gentle with shots and IVs which is important to me, as I am afraid of needles and blood. She took any complaints I had seriously. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and I will never forget her.
