Thinking about having to go into the hospital for a visit, a test or God forbid, you know they're going to admit you. Your anxiety spikes to the roof and quite honestly, it can be downright depressing. This was my thought process when I was admitted. Before I could sink to those levels, I was greeted in my room by my "personal nurse". Everyone was wonderful and very professional. That being said, I want to recognize my nurse, Dawn Wolfe, RN. She seemed to immediately recognize my anxiety. In a very genuine way, Dawn immediately took control and owned my anxiety, so I did not have to endure those feelings. She spoke in a very kind and caring way that exudes a nurturing personality. This nurse explained procedures, processes, and expected outcomes without being condescending. As a patient, this is the type of care you always hope to receive but unfortunately, this does not always occur in today's busy world. My nurse has been wonderful and I know that I am not the only patient to experience this excellent care. I cannot help to believe, that these caring traits are the central point of this nurse's personality. All who have the pleasure of knowing Dawn as a working colleague and friend should be happy to have such a wonderful, beautiful soul to share their own precious time as they go about their own daily lives. Keep on, Keeping on. You are one of today's true heroes!!
