I was scheduled for an outpatient procedure (cystoscopy & stone extraction) at 7am after a successful surgery I was transferred to the recovery room were this nurse was the attending nurse. Soon after my arrival, I realized that there was a complication. At that moment this nurse contacted the doctor immediately who came and performed a Urethral catheterization due to a blockage. My situation got worse as the hours went by, which only made me appreciate this nurse with her special compassion toward my wife and me during this unpredictable situation. I felt this nurse's presence at all times even though he/she had multiple patients. After a few more visits from the doctor, ultimately the decision was to send me to UMHC as direct admission due to my worsening condition. This nurse stayed after his/her shift putting her family aside until the paramedics arrived around 8:30pm. This nurse is an Extraordinary Nurse and human being she is sweet above and beyond reaching out that evening to my wife’s phone number (which I provided) to make sure I had arrived and was stable.
