The next day I was exhausted but there visiting Mom. Dayle sincerely asked how I was.
My 90-year-old mother arrived via ambulance at Baystate Wing. The ER was overflowing the night she was admitted. The next day I went to visit Mom she was in an overflow area on the first floor (day surgery?). When I arrived, Dayle greeted me and explained everything that was going on with my mom. She answered all of my questions and continued to check on my mom.

At one point my mom said she wanted ice water. I told her she could ask the nurse the next time she came over, then a couple of minutes later there was Dayle with a cup of ice water. The next day I was exhausted but there visiting Mom. Dayle sincerely asked how I was.

After my mother was moved, I encountered Dayle again even though my mom was not her patient when I was looking for someone to make my mom more comfortable in her chair she responded. I again encountered Dayle in the hall and she asked how my mom was doing and how I was doing. Again, my mom has been a patient for a week. Dayle is the only person to inquire about my mom or me her caregiver. It really means a lot to be acknowledged that these health issues affect the patient and those family members that care for the patient. This world needs more people like Dayle.
