My grandmother is a 73-year-old who has been a patient for approximately six days. She had a heart attack in Nash County and was airlifted to UNC-Chapel Hill, where she underwent two procedures that required three stents. After each procedure, my grandmother was required to lay flat on her back due to a medical device being placed in the incision sites. She was vomiting from the anesthesia and was unable to hold anything down. During my visits, everyone was extremely nice, but Daylee really stood out. She is an amazing caretaker. She was very personable and gave my grandmother great care. She made sure my grandmother was clean and cozy in an uncomfortable situation. Very gentle and caring. She washed her hair, combed it, and provided heated blankets when needed. My grandmother was very indecisive about the room temp due to the sickness and blood thinners, but Daylee was very patient with her. I am so grateful for the care that Daylee has provided in this moment.
