My sister is deaf. Deah gave my sister "white glove treatment." Deah connected with the interpreter to ensure my sister's understanding and comfort. Deah even used sign language she learned in high school and college to communicate with my sister. In a world where kindness and empathy are not always displayed, Deah is sunshine and a gem.
