Deandra was nominated by her peers for the award. They unanimously admire her commitment to nursing. She spends as much time as a patient needs to feel educated, comfortable with treatments, medications and the care they receive. She is always pleasant no matter how stressful the day is. She never says no to a patient and goes above and beyond expectations every day. Her compassion and empathy act as a role model for all of the staff. Her nursing skills and bedside manner are exemplary which is especially noticeable when there is a patient in crisis. She is always trying to improve personally and professionally.
