Dee is an exceptional nurse. She was helping me pass my medications to a confused and combative patient. She was so calm and patient with her attempts to build a good rapport. She was able to get the patient to eat breakfast, gave her a bath, and was able to get the patient to take her medications. If she had not taken the time to connect with the patient, the patient would not have taken her meds, eaten, or bathed. She was able to build a trusting relationship with her. She was determined and it demonstrated how compassionate and caring she truly is.

This is not just a job to her; it is her passion, and you can tell how much she cares for her patients. The following day, I was only able to get the patient to take half of her meds and Dee took the time (she was working in another hall) to come over to help me talk to the patient and explain the importance of medications. The patient then agreed and took her medication for Dee. Dee is such a phenomenal nurse, and it shows!
