DeAnna was recognized by a co-worker for helping many patients by allowing her colleague to spend extra time with a patient in need. By doing so, DeAnna assumed her colleague's responsibilities of helping distribute medications, checking on her colleague's patients in addition to her own, and assisting in transporting the unstable patient all while maintaining a pleasant attitude. Described as an amazing resource, leader, and charge-nurse, DeAnna is a shining example of a DAISY Nurse whose compassion and willingness to go above and beyond benefits not only her team members but the patients they serve.
