Deanne has not been my nurse, but I see all the wonderful things she does. Deanne comes into work with a smile on her face and she has a way of making you feel like you are the only one. Deanne is there for her co-workers, either to listen or to give encouragement. Deanne is always willing to help any of her co-workers with anything at work. Either giving medications or taking patients to the bathroom. Deanne has an infectious laugh that you can't help but be drawn to. Deanne goes above and beyond and helps her community too. Deanne makes tie blankets for the church and buys gifts for the needy. Deanne has put the needs of others before her own time and time again. Deanne's friend had a very ill child and this child had to be taken to Lincoln. Deanne sat with the family as they waited and was just being a good friend. Deanne arranged meals for the family. She cooked the meals and took the meals to the family; all while working full time and caring for her own family. Deanne recently arranged for meals to be brought to a co-worker after they had surgery. Again, Deanne arranged this while working and taking care of her own family. I look up to Deanne because of her good heart and the compassion she has for others. I wish I could be more like her. Deanne is what nursing is all about.
