Deanne was my post-partum nurse and my daughter. She was the best nurse I ever had and embodies all the qualities of a mother-baby nurse that I desire to be one day. She truly made the experience memorable and one that I will never forget. I came in very emotional, happy, and ecstatic that we would be parents to our first daughter, but worried and emotional about how our firstborn son would take and bond with his new sister. She helped me latch my daughter to my breast to help me breastfeed, which she took the time to learn was very important to have with my husband and me. She took the time to get to know us not only as patients but outside of here. She learned that I was most excited about having the handmade hats with bows for our daughter from the hospital, but she did not receive one. She made me one shortly after finding out. She was present when my son met my daughter for the first time and made it very memorable for him and us. She helped take family pictures, gave so many compliments, and made him feel like such a proud big brother. When it came time to leave, her shift was over, but she offered to walk out with my husband and our newborn daughter. She made it very personal, such a welcoming and warm experience and send-off. She truly went above and beyond for us.
