Deb, upon my admission, was a very stern yet compassionate nurse. I was at a very difficult time in my life where I tried to take my own life on the unit. Deb showered me with more love, worth, and compassion than I have never had in my life. Even in her own experiences, she has given me hope to live another day and even return back to nursing school when I am healthy and ready. It has been two weeks on the unit and even if Deb is not assigned to me, makes me feel well worth being here. She helps keep me on track to meet my goals of returning to life outside of the unit so I can be with my three small children. I will forever think of her and her words of encouragement through my days of struggle.
