Being a nurse as a patient and becoming the patient during a pandemic but needing surgery, I was very hesitant on the fact there is/are nursing shortages everywhere. With other surgeries including my C-section 5 years ago, we had horrible overnight stays at hospitals. Deb was compassionate. I never had to hit my call light one time for her. I pictured myself being her (I didn't share with her that I was a nurse until I was going home). Never did I think one time I was just a number. I was an actual person/patient. Personality, timeliness, knowledge, educating me...she is AMAZING! We, nurses, are part of the front liners. I would have never guessed this about Deb as she was ALWAYS happy, accommodating, and just a good person! Thank you for allowing Deb to be a part of your team so that she could take care of patients like me!
