Our twins arrived early and were placed in the Special Care Nursery to eat and grow. Debbie was our primary nurse and I have many stories of how she helped us navigate the stressful experience of having babies in special care, but one day in particular stands out. I was focused on breast feeding our twins, which is challenging when they are born so early. I was getting frustrated one day when Debbie walked in our room. She told me to take a deep breath, helped me get the baby situated, and gave me a ton of pointers. With her help, Baby A started nursing and she brought Baby B over and helped him get latched. As I tandem nursed my twins with tears in my eyes, Debbie said to have faith and anything is possible. Her kind words and help that day made all the difference in our breast-feeding journey.
