When my husband entered the ICU all the staff gave him excellent care, but Deb stands out. Her compassion touched my heart. She always explained the treatment, procedures and medicines to me in a way I could comprehend. She took the time to care for me too. Making sure I was getting rest, meals, etc. during this difficult time. We talked about the importance of faith. She made sure I had the correct telephone number if I left during the night and she always welcomed my calls. She sat me down, made me look into her eyes and promised that I would get help for myself when all of this was over. This was the hardest thing I've ever gone through, but having Deb as our nurse made a positive difference. She is truly an extraordinary person.
