My husband was admitted to the oncology floor. His white and red blood cells and platelets were dangerously low. Debbie came on shift on Sunday morning, she saw he needed several studies done on Monday. She took complete ownership of his care and started calling every department involved. When they tried to "push things back" to later in the day, she said no. He needs things to go quickly so he doesn't go all day NPO and to get the ball rolling so we can get some answers, quickly! She went over and above the next morning (Monday) to be sure he was first thing in the morning. Debbie made sure to have the tests done in an order that would decrease his discomfort. Debbie was constantly in and out of the room checking on my husband and myself to see if we needed anything and very encouraging and upbeat to keep our spirits lifted during this trying time in our lives. She took extra exceptional care of us all. Debbie took many steps over and above to make my husband comfortable and well taken care of. She was truly an angel in disguise and a real blessing from God in our time of need.
