Debbie found out one of our patient's dogs had been picked up and taken to Columbus Animal Control when she helped the patient call a neighbor to find out who was caring for her dog. Debbie took it upon herself to go to the pound and let them know that the owner was in the hospital. She convinced them to delay euthanasia until after she got out of the hospital and had a chance to get the dog. She also visited the dog and made a recording of her so that her owner could see the video and know that she was truly ok. This was such a heartfelt thing to do for one of our patients who could not have done this on her own and didn't trust others to help.
