During this shift, we had a lot of admits coming in at shift change, and the day shift had a lot of discharges and transfers towards the end of the shift. Debbie had at least four patients of her own, and she knew that the MT floor had been and continued to be chaotic. Debbie did many of the admissions that day.
Many of the patients on the floor were high activity. One patient had come in just prior to our shift, one actively was withdrawing from methadone at shift change, one patient from surgery was extremely nauseated when they arrived at their room, and a family who was very anxious about what had happened during their family member's surgery. I talked to the doctors 12-15 times during this shift.
Debbie went above and beyond for me, and I would not have expected her to do so much while she had such a heavy patient load. I enjoy working with Debbie because she has such a great attitude. Debbie, we appreciate all you do for us!
