Professor Cates is an extraordinary person. She has been such a blessing to us on the Alamogordo campus and I'm not sure we could have gotten through the last two years without her. While we are in clinical she is always right where we need her and she takes the time to make sure we are treated right in the hospital setting and she goes above and beyond to make sure we gain the most out of our hours at the hospital. I appreciate her dedication to how much she cares about our success and seeing us go forward in our nursing careers. Anytime I have had a question for Professor Cates she has answered it with great care and if she doesn't have the answer, she makes sure she seeks out an answer. She sets a high standard for us, but she makes sure she provides us with everything we may need to be successful. She truly takes the time for us to fully understand how we are molding ourselves every day into the nurses that we hope to be and dedicates any amount of time we may need from her.
