On one occasion, we felt Debbie stepped out of her comfort zone for us.
My husband collapsed on a Wednesday before the Friday we were supposed to get our marine son from Indiana, who was suffering from PTSD. We were told my husband would have died in two days, and he needed six transfusions. Illinois snowed that weekend, and we rescheduled our son for next weekend on Monday; he was gone. He overdosed accidentally, and we were devastated.

Our nurse was already waiting for us. Debbie hugged us. She made everything easier. She went above and beyond and made us feel so comfortable during our time there. Debbie listened to what we needed. She made sure my husband was comfortable, and his room was clean. She let me bathe him and do things for him to help her because we asked her to. We had many check-ins to the hospital, unfortunately. We always looked for her because she gave us comfort and always cared about what we wanted and needed. I will always remember her the most because she made sure we were taken care of.

There were a lot of others who were so good to us, and they are memorable as well. On one occasion, we felt Debbie stepped out of her comfort zone for us. It was a hard situation with the doctors and others knowing what happened to us. They didn't want to tell my husband his prognosis. This nurse was with us the whole way. She is professional and has value.
