April 2024 Honoree
Debbie Ingles, RN
Debbie came in to work just to help me as the CN through an incredibly complex/emotional situation. Debbie is the biggest advocate for our staff & their safety & recognizes that psychological safety is just as important. I’ve worked at PCH for 12 years & I can’t begin to express how important it is to have a member of leadership you know you can depend on. Debbie is compassionate and kind but also determined to find solutions to problems. Words can’t express how thankful I am for her support when I was feeling extremely defeated and unsure who else I could talk to for help. I knew something needed to be done to help protect our staff, but I didn’t know where else to turn, and I felt defeated. Debbie came in & immediately took the weight of the problem off my shoulders. She gathered extra department leadership & together came up with a safety plan to prevent any more harm to staff. I can’t begin to explain how strong her voice needed to be & how flawlessly she approached & then executed a difficult conversation. Thank you so much for being an incredible nurse to look up to. Our unit is so lucky to have called you ours!
Thank you, Debbie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
