I was in the hospital for twelve days. During that time, I had Debbie as my night shift nurse five nights. Debbie was extremely kind and caring toward me and always had time to talk to me. She made sure I had everything I needed and when I had trouble with my heart rate, she came to my side and asked me how I was and took care to make me comfortable.
Debbie went above and beyond to advocate for my needs, for example, when I needed a medicine that I had at home and only took once a week, she took whatever steps were needed for me to get this medicine from the pharmacy and helped me to take it properly. There were other things that she did as well for my care that I cannot recall exactly right now, but I always knew she was watching out for me. Debbie also encouraged me with her words and lifted my spirits when they were low from being in the hospital for so long. She has a calm and soothing way about her, could make me laugh, and explained things well. Thank you!
