My entry into Phelps Health was due to a small intestine obstruction and the pain with this was very high. The initial pain medication was not providing relief. After Debbie listened to my concerns and shared them with the attending doctor, the medication was changed and I was provided relief. In addition, Debbie demonstrated compassion, provided watchfulness in all areas regarding my condition, and thoroughly explained the process being used to help alleviate my condition. She also kept my wife informed of the measures being used to make me comfortable as well as what was being done to try to relieve the obstruction.
This is the first time during a hospital stay or receiving medical treatment that I felt the need to commend someone for extraordinary service. Phelps Health is fortunate to have such a valued nurse.
