According to Debbie’s nominator,a patient of Debbie’s, he cannot say enough about the wonderful care Debbie provided to him. He stated that he came into the hospital with a bowel obstruction and received excellent care from all staff but Debbie went above and beyond and he wanted Nursing Administration to be aware of this wonderful caregiver. Even though he knew Debbie had other patients, Debbie seemed to always be there for him. She was smiling, very friendly and attentive, often coming to answer his needs before he could even ask her! He wants everyone to know that Debbie is “an exemplary nurse and a role model for others in her field!” This is the reason she was nominated for the DAISY Award.
