Debbie is the most well-rounded nurse. She is thoughtful, kind, passionate, and loving to all her patients. She makes every patient feel like family. Debbie always puts her patients first and advocates for patients’ needs in the best way possible.
*****
After caring for a homeless mother that decided to give her baby up for adoption, Debbie was there for the mother throughout the whole process. She asked the mother if she had any pictures of the baby. The mother said she didn’t have a phone. Debbie took a picture of the mom with her baby (with permission) and went to have it printed at Walgreens for the mother to have to keep and cherish. She is a phenomenal nurse and an example for all nurses.
*****
Debbie helped a patient who was giving her child up for adoption by having a photo of the child printed at Walgreens. The mother had no way to take a photo on her own and she was very grateful for the kindness shown to her. Debbie always goes above and beyond for her patients. She is always willing to get down to their level and explain what is happening which can be hard to remember to do when you have been nursing for 30 years.
