She is actively involved in her units and genuinely cares for her leadership team and all the staff that she manages. Debbie will never send her people into battle alone. She is by our side during challenges and hard times and fights by our side with us.
Debbie Tracy is an exceptional role model as a leader. She is the kind of leader that people follow and come back to a hospital to work for. She is wise, understanding, calm, compassionate, and supportive. She is actively involved in her units and genuinely cares for her leadership team and all the staff that she manages. Debbie will never send her people into battle alone. She is by our side during challenges and hard times and fights by our side with us.

Debbie is a nurturing, strong, sincere, and respectful leader. She takes a vested interest in who we are as people and not just employees. I trust that I can come to her with work challenges and struggles, and she will guide me through them to find a solution. I also trust that I can confide in her as a human being and share any life celebrations or challenges I may have going on.

Debbie is constantly motivating me to be a better leader, and she gives me the support I need to stay engaged and motivated to take our team to the next level. She has a constant vision for our team, and she has a cohesive vision for all her departments that work under her. Her fairness and discerning judgment facilitate a harmonious and cohesive workflow among the units. She brings encouraging and thoughtful gifts to make me laugh or cheer me up when needed and when I am going through particularly challenging situations.

Debbie promotes nursing by caring for her teams so that we can role model those behaviors and care for our staff, who then, in turn, care for the patients. She is transformational in her leadership. She is always working to enhance the nursing role and nursing practice by elevating the responsibilities, skills, and roles of the nurses. She lovingly pushes her teams to grow and take on new skills and initiatives so that we constantly work to improve the units' care and resources available to our patients.
