Debby is incredible. My mother came to Good Sam and was diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder. During testing and diagnosis, part of the treatment was platelet transfusions. During one of these transfusions, my mother had an allergic reaction. Debby was the most professional and responsible "superwoman" in getting the rapid response team and getting Mom stabilized. Once Mom was stabilized and everything calmed down, and (all the time for that matter) it was determined by medical staff and family that transfusions could not be tolerated. This meant there was no treatment for aplastic anemia. The treatment plan was to keep Mom comfortable until her time came. Debby is not only very efficient but extremely compassionate. Debby tended to Mom's needs immediately and with much care. She was very, very good at helping the family through this entire situation. Mom commented that if it were possible, she would adopt Debby, as she would be very proud if she were her daughter. That to me is one of the highest compliments that could be given by a patient.
