I am writing to thank Debora Weigelt for the great job she did caring for my daughter and me during my labor on June 13 and the subsequent care at MaineGeneral. This letter is late in coming to you, due to the busy home we've had since her birth, but Deb has been on my mind every day since, and I wanted to let your know how well she performed.

Immediately after giving birth, I began to suffer from a lot of pain, which turned out to be a hematoma. Deb was first to mention it as a possibility, and her quick actions and recommendations to the doctor initiated the diagnosis and emergency surgery was performed shortly thereafter.

Also important to us was the great bedside manner Deb provided. She never appeared stressed or worried, even though she had been working long hours that particular week. Deb was attentive and listened to our concerns, undoubtedly saving me some additional pain and discomfort. When I realized that Deb was taking care of me, I breathed a huge sigh of relief, knowing I was in good hands. Deb has been my nurse for a number of my children's births so I felt secure and relaxed in her care. Deb is not only an exceptional and knowledgeable nurse, but she is kind, funny and compassionate.

Deb is a great examples of a caring and competent nurse and a great representative for MaineGeneral. I appreciate her and want to thank her immensely for her kindness and quality care in a tough time. She is a significant asset to your team, and should be commended for her work.
