Deborah Adofo, RN

When we came in the first night, we didn’t realize just how sick my husband was. We got settled into our room in the middle of the night and then they let us rest. At the shift change, Deborah Adofo took over I realized how much he had deteriorated. She sprang into action taking vitals, etc, and called the hospital doctor, who set a plan up for him. His surgeon was called and he had surgery early afternoon. Turns out he had a staph infection in the wound and the blood. Though it took a team of people in that crisis situation, it was Deborah who identified it and kicked everything into gear. I’m grateful for her clear-headed action and she deserves any commendation she might get from this. I believe she may have helped to save his life.
