When my recovery from aquablation reached a dangerous and extreme phase of blood clots, it was Deborah who switched patients to take charge. Her experience and professionalism saved the day. Late at night, she reached out to the doctor who came over at midnight for emergency care, hard draining 2 liters of blood clots from my swollen bladder. Without Deborah’s care, I suspect much more invasive measures might have needed to have been taken. I am grateful for the care regarding it.

I want to recognize the amazing work that Deborah did during a critical patient situation that occurred in CSU in February of 2024. Deborah demonstrated critical thinking skills, remained calm during a challenging situation & was in constant communication with the attending doctor, the supervisor, and with me as the charge nurse. Deborah was regularly updating the supervisor and charge nurse on what was happening. The key to success is verbal communication. Deborah approached and spoke with the family multiple times so they could make an informed decision regarding consenting to the necessary treatment for the patient, which resulted in a positive outcome. CSU is extremely lucky to have nurses such as Deborah on our team caring for patients and providing the highest quality patient care.
