Deborah Cooper is an exemplary Charge nurse who is very well respected by her peers and other coworkers for her knowledge, expertise and quick and effective actions.

This past weekend, a visitor collapsed and ended up needing emergency care which saved his life. Deborah Cooper calmly and effectively coordinated the code and the care of the visitor as well as ensured that EMS was activated and then made sure the family were taken care of. This is but one example out of countless times that she has shown why she is so highly regarded.

One of the experienced clinicians present gave feedback a few days later that it was the most well organized and well run code he'd ever witnessed, and he's witnessed a lot. She bends over backwards to meet others needs including mentoring staff to ensure they are providing care and support for the patients and families as needed. Deborah Cooper is one of the charge nurse leaders that makes the lives of others so very easy. Shepherd and ABI are very fortunate to have her.
