Deborah came into my room and kindly introduced herself and explained that she would be taking care of me that day. I immediately noticed her smile and friendly attitude. She went out of her way to check on me, encourage me, and monitored all of my vitals with such diligence. I so appreciated the comfort I felt knowing she was there to help me. Before she left on Thursday evening, she explained that she might see me again on Friday, which happened. She was so conscientious paying attention to every detail. She is an outstanding nurse and educator and a fabulous role model for others learning procedures and techniques. For thirty-three years I worked in secondary education and from these experiences it is easy to identify a person that goes far beyond what might be expected in their job performance. How fortunate you are to have such an individual in your department.
