Deb is one of the kindest humans on the face of the planet earth. She is a great mentor to new nurses and highly respected by peers and coworkers. The act of kindness that I feel makes her a DAISY Nurse took place with one of our patients. We had a patient who only felt comfortable when wearing pull up briefs. There came a time when family could no longer provide them. The patient was very distressed by not having them. It was very disruptive to his feelings of self-worth. Deb, after working all night, went out and purchased pull up briefs for this gentleman. We immediately saw an improvement in the patient's behavior and mood. She went above and beyond her call of duty as a nurse to respect and honor another person's human dignity. Another small act of kindness that lifted us all.

I had so much pain and she went far and beyond to help me. Deb genuinely cares. It feels so nice to know I am genuinely cared for.
