Deborah was in church on Easter Sunday when one of the congregation members collapsed during the service. Deborah came to the rescue and was in the right spot at the right time. She performed CPR and used the AED the church had until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The patient was brought in to University Medical Center's Emergency room after suffering from an arrest.
The patient was awake and alert because of the quick thinking and actions performed by Deborah Hughes. She is an amazing nurse and we are so very proud of her!
