You cannot remain in a down or low spirit with Debbie (and her staff) around. When I was admitted to the hospital, I was in a state of shock. I had just left the cancer center and had learned that I needed to be admitted ASAP same day into the hospital to begin my chemo treatment. Throughout my stay at Piedmont Columbus Regional, Debbie's upbeat and light-hearted spirit has made all the difference in turning one of the most challenging moments in my life into one with hope. She has prayed with me. She has danced around my room in between giving me my medication regimen and tending to my many other needs. Her enthusiasm is contagious. I am so lucky to have had this crew to start my cancer journey. Debbie's jolly spirit even spread to her trainees. Debbie and her crew are the epitome of outstanding patient care - from caring nature, informative treatment, and a cheerful spirit. What was initially a low moment for me, soon became a journey full of hope because of Debbie and her staff.
