“Mrs. Deborah was one of the best nurses I've ever been around. My grandmother was under her care, and she came in, sat down and talked with us, gave advice, and explained everything in the best ways possible - and she stayed on top of her job. She went above and beyond, to say the least. Deborah showed compassion and care and was there for everything. When my grandmother passed, she went out of her way to make calls and find information for me. She helped me figure out the things that needed to be done. I had never been in that position before, but Mrs. Deborah ensured I wasn't alone. When the family came, she took my 3-year-old niece by the hand and walked her to get a juice and Jell-O. Then, sat her in her work chair and talked to her so that the family could have a minute to grieve. I don't know what I would have done if she hadn't been there for me. I truly believe that God put her where she was at that time for a reason. Mrs. Deborah is a grade-A nurse, and anyone who has her, family or patient, has something you don't find just anywhere. I may never see her again, but she will always be close to my heart. She most definitely deserves The DAISY Award. I could never thank this lady enough for the hard work, care, and compassion she showed us in one of the most difficult times of our lives. She is amazing and will never be forgotten.”
