The Behavioral Health Staff nominates Deborah Mitchell, RN for the DAISY Award. She passed away last year. She will always be a part of our team. She maintained high professional standards at all times managing difficult situations calmly and effectively. She was extremely willing and motivated to help all members of the team. She provided excellent nursing care, demonstrating a high level of prioritization, care and recognition of strengths, weakness and limitations. She demonstrated capable and competent care with patients, families, students and co-workers. Her confidence always put patients at ease. She actively participated in the department’s ability to have high patient satisfaction scores. She was a past recipient of the Cameo of Caring Award for Behavioral Health.
