My husband was admitted to 4 North on Saturday morning. He was unable to keep any fluids down and very weak. When Debb came in to take information she was pleasant, understanding and even complimented me on my organization of my husband's meds and medical history which I had typed up given all of his previous health problems. She took an immediate interest in her patient, my husband, and our family. She was warm, available and kind, not to mention dedicated, professional and experienced. When we had a problem with a patient who shared the room with my husband, she was able to relocate my husband quickly and efficiently so that he would be able to rest. She put me at ease and I knew that when I left my husband's side to go home and get a bite to eat and put our dog out, my husband would be in good hands in my absence.

Having that kind of trust in the healthcare system is difficult for me, but with Debb as his nurse, there were absolutely no worries as I knew he was getting high-quality personal and dedicated care. This is extremely rare in our experience as my husband has been hospitalized before and when I had to leave, I always struggled with anxiety about whose care he would be under in my absence, but not this time! Debb was the best, most extraordinary nurse that we ever could have asked for! She even transported my husband to the car when he was discharged and in addition, she was concerned about my welfare, as she did not want me carrying all of his things by myself. We couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Debb knows how to treat the whole patient, not just their symptoms and, we are thoroughly grateful to her for the best possible care that we could have received in the hospital. Thank you Debb, we are forever grateful to you!
