Deb Pierce went above and beyond for a patient, ultimately saving her life. We had a young woman come into the ED under somewhat odd circumstances, and Deb was her nurse. Deb ended up gaining the girl's trust and Deb figured out that she had social issues (when no one else figured this out), and this resulted in the girl getting saved, placed in a program for victims of social issues and being reunited with her family. Deb saved this girl's life when no one else could have.
