Deborah Walker, ADN, RN

The patient was on a ventilator which was removed. Deborah went above and beyond what was required. No matter how many times she had to come into his room due to him pulling things off or trying to get out of bed, she was always kind and compassionate. Even times when he was confused about where he was or why he was there, Deborah sat beside his bed several times, holding his hand, explaining to him where he was, why he was here, and why he couldn’t pull any tubes off. She then would ask if he understood now. She wouldn’t leave his side until he understood what she was telling him. Seeing her talk to him and the way she took care of him, was like watching someone care for their daddy.
