A patient arrived that was so afraid. Her family could not let go of her hand even when entering through the door to the room with the bed going through it. After settling the patient in, all the family left. I walked by the room and saw Debra pull up a chair and sit with the patient and hold her hand to comfort her. I find this to be exemplary of what we should all provide for our patients. Debra took the time to do this even though she was charge nurse with 5 patients of her own. This is a great example of nursing for us all.
