Debra received three nominations for the caring and compassion she demonstrates as she cares for her patients, families and visitors.
The first nomination was from a patient who wrote: Debra demonstrates all of the qualities of a DAISY Nurse. She had been my nurse before and I was excited to have her again. She is competent, compassionate and patient oriented. It is so easy to see that she enjoys her work. She is an asset to the DCH system! She is an awesome representative for her profession.
Another patient, submitted the second nomination: Debra took the time to talk to me about what I was going through and what I should expect. She always had time for me, even though she was working hard. Today she was not my RN, but she took time to stop by and say hello. When I wanted something she would take the time never passing me off to someone else. She is the Best!
The last nomination was submitted by a visitor who meet Debra while in the cafeteria. She told about an incident where she and her sister were in the cafeteria for dinner. While in line to pay my sister could not use her debit card. Ms. Cook paid for both dinners without hesitation. She is such a sweet gentle spirited person.
