Debra demonstrates a high level of skill in the direct care of the orthopaedic patient and strives to improve the image of nursing. She promotes collaboration through interdisciplinary work with all peers to achieve optimal patient outcomes. She recently recognized a complication from surgery and her quick assessment and collaboration with the physicians assisted with the patient having a good outcome. She shares her knowledge with her peers on a daily basis and is a mentor to the newer nurses. Debra deserves this DAISY Award!
